Anglers Inn on Lake El Salto
Mexico Bass Fishing at Anglers Inn
We like to watch the eyes of our guests the first time they see Anglers Inn Lodge at El Salto Lake. It’s unlike anything you’d expect to find up there in Mexico’s Sierra Madres. It sits right on the shore of the lake. You won’t find anything else that even comes close to matching its location, facilities or service. Nobody “roughs it” at Anglers Inn. You can come with a fishing partner or your wife and kids. Our lodging is designed to handle the needs of everyone from corporate executives to couples. You won’t be driven over curving mountain roads to get her. Its paved freeway all of the way.
Every month is a possibility for Trophy Bass. In the Fall you can catch them on crankbaits and topwater; in the late Spring you catch them on plastic. (Call 15 days prior to your arrival for update). The bass usually spawn February through March.
At Anglers Inn you will be treated like a king while fishing for Florida-strain bass. We have had more than 28 years experience taking care of our visitors. Be assured our accommodations, equipment and staff are the highest quality. Upon your arrival at your gateway city, you will be met by a bilingual Anglers Inn representative at the airport and transported to the lodge. Beer, bottled water and soft drinks will be on board for the ride. You will need a passport in order to obtain your tourist visa from the Mexican officials or your airline before entering Mexico. If traveling with a minor under 18 years of age, you must have a notarized permission letter signed by the other parent.
From November through March the mornings are cool, requiring a light jacket or sweatshirt. By midday, the temperature rises to the high 70’s or low 80’s. After March the midday temperature will rise to the high 80’s through the mid-90s. It is still cool enough on the lake in the morning to require a light jacket. We have air-conditioned rooms and dining rooms for your comfort.
Getting to the Anglers Inn Lodge at El Salto Lake poses no problems. You get to Mazatlan and we’ll take it from there. Lake El Salto is located in the state of Sinaloa about 1 ½ hours from the picturesque port of Mazatlan and about 800 miles from U.S. Border at Nogales, AZ. Mazatlan is the main gateway city for commercial flights and private planes: You’ll be met at Mazatlan’s International Airport by members of the Anglers Inn staff. We’ll see that your luggage gets to the Anglers Inn Lodge when you do. There will be a tray full of our special Margaritas waiting there for you!
